More to Lose Using Total Workout

Short Torso Leaning Toward Combo
About two years ago a friend of mine started T-Tapping. I never would have guessed that she really needed to loose all that much weight. Yet, she was totally excited about this new program she had found. My friend was faithful and did a "soft sell" on me. I didn't buy into it, though I was curious.
After not seeing her for a few months I decided to go for a visit. Seeing was believing. She was trimmed and toned like I had never seen her before. The best part was that this result came from exercising about 30 minutes every other day or so. Previously she had only been able to get into the kind of shape she was in by doing extreme things: working out long hard hours, denying all favorite foods, you know the extremes we go to. I was truly amazed.
I jumped in and decided to give it a try. Though I was not very consistent, I did see some results allowing me to drop a dress size. Then I had a relapse and decided to go back to the gym. There's something I enjoy about lifting weights and getting onto an elliptical machine or treadmill and sweating it out. As I went more to the gym, I did T-Tapp less and less. Then I stopped going to the gym and stopped doing T-Tapp.
Part of problem was that though I was faithful in working out, my focus was on the scale. Though I gave it my all for about 6 months, my weight did not seem to budge. Then came a bout of just giving up.
What's amazing to me is that the progress I made with T-Tapp remained. Even though I gave up on my gym routine, I still fit into my new sizes. That was until my eating really got out of control and I stopped any exercise.
Ever dread getting dressed in the morning? As my weight and inches crept back up, I realized something had to be done. So I went back to the gym. Again was faithful, and yet didn't see much progress.
Until an old high school friend and I started corresponding and the topic of exercise came up. I whole-heartedly recommended T-Tapp (yes, though I wasn't really doing it) since it helped me and my friend (who is still maintaining her inch loss after all this time, even though she decreased the amount she T-Tapps). My friend, who was trying to loose post pregnancy pounds, tried it and lost 14+ inches in two weeks. She was so excited and told me about this contest.
Since I was discouraged about my failed efforts in the gym I decided to do a little experiment - quit going to the gym and start T-Tapping. At the start of the contest my knees and back were hurting. I felt so out of shape and without hope. Yet, try I did.
I kick started the contest with a 14 day boot camp and then settled into doing T-Tapp Tempo at least 3 times a week for most of this contest (this last week I was on vacation). For the first month, the only other exercising I did was taking walks in the evening, often with a friend.
Loosing some inches and feeling fitter I began to wonder if I could still run, which was a great stress reliever for me in college. Though I have a slight knee injury, I decided to give it a try. I ran 20 minutes the first time and felt completely sore! The next day I popped in the T-Tapp Tempo DVD and worked out. To my surprise my knee and back pain went away. I felt great.
The last few weeks I've been using T-Tapp and running in tandem. Though I don't run very fast (often people walking seem to go faster than I do) nor very far, it's rehabilitative for my stress levels. T-Tapp is rehabilitative for my body. I honestly don't think that I could even continue running without using T-Tapp to put my body back into alignment.
Not only has T-Tapp helped me loose almost 20 inches, it has given me back a long lost love, running. I've seen, but I've also done - and doing is better!
I've signed up for my first 5K at the end of July. Never would have had the confidence to do this without T-Tapp. I want to keep T-Tapping for life.
Thank you Teresa for creating this program. I tried a TV advertised Jazz, Kick boxing sort of program - but had to stop because it severely hurt my back. Too much jarring and jumping! Your program is restoring my body - and I'm more than grateful.
