Carlene M.

I wasn't sure I was ready to enter the 60 Day Challenge, my friend who is a trainer encouraged me by saying yes, you can! She has been my biggest supporter, inspiration, motivator, cheerleader, and "accountant."

Several weeks into the Challenge, I found, much to my amazement, that I was able to run the length of a very long hallway twice in an emergency at work. I have not been able to run for many years. But there I was not only running but down on the floor attending a medical trauma and better yet, I was able to get up without help.

This Challenge has made me more focused, more determined to reach my goals. I have learned to make changes; I have to come out of my box, out of my safety zone. During the Challenge, I've become more aware of myself as a person, an individual; one who CAN accomplish goals and have determination. I've learned that I can create a plan and follow through. My mother says that entering this Challenge is one of the best things she's ever seen me do. I happen to agree.

My form has improved significantly during the Challenge. When I started with BWO+ in the fall, I was barely able to get through the arm movements during the Plies Sequence. Then I moved to Beginner/Rehab, and I was hardly able to get through the Arm Sequence, and oftentimes didn't. A few weeks into the Challenge, I began to realize all the arm movements seemed easy. I knew that wasn't right, all T-Tapp movements should be challenging, that's when I had an "Aha" moment. I realized this is where I'm supposed to be tightening lats and arm muscles. I could feel it the Arm Sequence and Plies Sequence began to show results. I lost almost 2 inches off each arm in 3 weeks by engaging more muscle fiber. And, hey … what are those? Oh, my gosh, those are my collarbones! I thought they were permanently lost years ago.

T-Tapp is not just an exercise program for me; it's become a way of life, an everyday part of my life, like brushing my teeth. I'm not just talking about the days I workout; I'm talking also of body brushing, my posture, the way I sit and walk. It has made me stronger, healthier, slimmer, and pain free. My whole attitude and demeanor has changed, I'm so much happier. No matter what my future holds for me, T-Tapp will always be incorporated into it.

In nursing school, my instructor told me we may not be able to change the world, but we can do our best to change a little corner of it for the better. Teresa has changed so many corners of the world, touched so many people’s lives, and I am one of those extremely grateful people. I would love to have the privilege and opportunity to meet Teresa Tapp in person and thank her for creating such a wonderful program which has truly changed my life.

I should win this Challenge because I have lost five sizes since October 2007, not all during the challenge, but truly that’s an amazing loss in such a short time. I am also a winner because I've become an entirely different person physically, socially, and emotionally. I love my new self and I love T-Tapp.
