Less to Lose with Health Improvements* Category

While at Safety Harbor in 2007 I was very much impressed with results the participant's had achieved during the four day Retreat. At that time I was moved with the way Teresa taught the class as well as the Trainers who helped when I needed to make adjustments in the moves.

I decided that come 2008 that I would like to be a part of the 60-Day Challenge. This 60 days has been such a blessing, I heard about Michelle Barbuto's, online "T-Tapp You" class so I joined that group of ladies and learned so much more about Form, Exercising, going to my Max and that consistency is a big part of T-Tapp.

Then in April I joined Michelle's Super Slow class and really began to experience what T-Tapp is all about. She has been such an encouragement, I have reached a whole new level in exercising under her guidance. I have learned to be patient even when the measurements didn't seem to move much. I am beginning more and more to realize that my T-Tapp journey is really all about progression and I can see the results of this program as well as other who have asked me about the T-tapp program. I have been able to help several ladies get started in their journey with T-Tapp.

What have I accomplished in these 60 days, better body alignment, standing taller with shoulders back, a positive attitude, accountability, so much energy, and that T-Tapp is a tool for healthy living as I have learned to eat even more healthy with the GM/MM program.

When I began the Challenge I was wearing a tight size 12 and today I am in loose 12's and some 10's depending on the brand of the pants. That is an accomplishment even from 2007 when in size 18's. I look forward each morning to getting up and getting started with my daily scheduled workout.

I am 71 years old, a diabetic on insulin pump. I have lowered my insulin by half during these 60 days by doing Hoe Downs after each meal.

Why should I be a winner: Because entering this contest was a first for me and has been so very rewarding, I undertook this challenge to prove to myself that I could lose the inches as well as weight and be able to wear clothes once again that I felt comfortable in.  The health improvements were another major factor in doing this challenge and it is being accomplished each day little by little. I am so thankful to Teresa Tapp for her book Fit and Fabulous in 15 Minutes, which I discovered in 2007 that was a God send as I was at my highest weight in years. I purchased her book, then the full program and with the tapes and the encouragement from my husband I am where I am today.

*HEALTH IMPROVEMENT
During this 60 days, my insulin requirements have dropped by half, I have been on an insulin pump for two years and never could get the glucose levels down to an acceptable range. But now with the Hoe Downs after meals and healthy eating, I have accomplished what seemed to be an impossible task. I have neuropy of the feet so bad I had to sleep with diabetic boots at night. I purchased the Foot Fitness Video and do those exercises and now no longer wear the boots. Brushing the body and my feet is such a wonderful thing as it has helped keep the swelling down in my feet. When I get in bed they no longer tingle after brushing and doing Foot Fitness. I also had a knee issue and the exercises have helped that. I am no longer facing surgery on the knee. Also had arthritis in the right hand so purchased the Finger Fitness video and do those exercises and along with exercising this has helped tremendously.
