Less to Lose with Health Improvements* Runner Up Winner

Diana W.

*Health Improvement: Late February, I had a hysterectomy. The surgery had been delayed because I was too anemic for medical clearance for several months.

I am still on medication for hypertension and anemia and I'd like to get off all medications. Post surgery, I have even more medical issues than prior and somehow gained ten pounds during my hospital stay! As I recover from the surgery, my exercise has been very limited. I want my life back! I want natural heath excellence!

T-Tapp helped turn my year around! I began 2009, not feeling too fine. I was at my life time highest weight, breaking out at the seams of my clothing (literally) and facing a hysterectomy in February. I was taking medication for hypertension and anemia. I have an autoimmune disorder and I would be turning fifty before the year ended. But, I determined to live life without regrets and make this a year for positive change. I wanted to take personal responsibility for my health rather than just trusting medical professionals.

I adopted the Nutritional Excellence diet to begin to address my health issues. I greatly increased my consumption of God made food and reduced my consumption of man made food. By the time of my hysterectomy in late February, I had dropped 20 pounds but I was still on medication and battling hypertension and anemia. Post surgery, I had even more medical issues including IBS and kidney dysfunction. Also, I had somehow gained ten pounds during my hospital stay!

As I recovered from the surgery, my exercise was very limited. I needed a nap after I walked to the end of my driveway to pick up the mail. I learned of the T-Tapp program from an internet forum and I liked the physical therapy approach. I wanted to find a lifelong exercise program. I purchased the book and decided to take the 60-Day Challenge; I started on May 15, 2009. My goal was to first improve my health and then reduce my hips, saddlebags, and rear. The Basic Workout is amazing! It was difficult, especially at first and I am sure my form still needs improvement. I also enjoyed and applied the walking techniques. I don’t walk like a duck any longer! I even push the shopping cart differently. The results are amazing! Who would think that such a small of investment of time could yield such an incredible return.

About three weeks into the Challenge, I scheduled a private session with a T-Tapp trainer. It was so helpful! It is really hard to pick up the subtle movements and correct form from just the DVD and book. I tried to talk a couple of friends into joining me in the 60-Day Challenge, but they had never heard of T-Tapp and weren’t interested. But, less a month into the Challenge, when they saw how loose my clothing was getting on me – they asked me for more info on T-Tapp! They saw my results and decided to give it a try.

I have always felt a civic duty to participate in Red Cross Blood Drives, but for the past three years – I have been turned down as a donor due to health issues. About one month into the Challenge, I was able to participate as a blood donor. This was a huge moral boost for me!

Now, I am fit, fabulous and turning fifty! Forget anemia – my energy level is higher than it has been in the past ten years. Forget my hypertension medication; my blood pressure is being controlled by diet and exercise. The IBS and kidney dysfunction are under control. I feel fantastic! My husband compliments me on how I look. Best of all, I am a smaller size now than I was in junior high school! I am wearing a size 8 and this is the smallest adult size I have ever worn!

Why would I like to win a trip to the Retreat? I am already a winner. I entered the Challenge to win a vacation and I gained more in health improvement, than I dared to hope. BUT, I turn fifty on October 9th and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than going to Safety Harbor! I’d love to meet Teresa Tapp. I am sure the workouts, speakers and spa will be great but Teresa motivated me to make positive changes in my life and I’d love to meet her and thank her.
