Average to Lose with Health Improvements* Category Winner

Mary C.

*Health Improvement: Hormone Imbalances, Fibrocystic Breast Disease, Lymphatic Congestion, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Painful Periods, Extreme Fatigue.

I am a 34 year old homeschooling mother of 2 boys, ages 6 and 8. I have spent most of my life feeling about 80 years old. My journey with T-Tapp began in the summer of 2008. My homeopathic doctor/dear friend told me about T-Tapp and the wonderful results she had with it. In two weeks, I lost 8 inches and 5 lbs. doing only Hoe Downs, Awesome Legs, and Jog Rocks. I gradually quit T-Tapping, but continued to do HD, body brushing, and salt baths.

I never had a weight problem until my youngest son was 1 year old in 2004. I had always maintained around 125 lbs. I have had health problems through the years and have received a variety of diagnosis: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Epstein Barr, Lupus. Thankfully, I have always tried to treat naturally and the Lupus was not confirmed but I do have symptoms that occasionally flare up. My hormones wreaked havoc on my body in 2004 and I started putting on weight and getting very depressed. After having a thermogram in April 2009 and finding out that I have Fibrocystic Breast Syndrome (that included sharp pains and aching in my left breast) and a very congested lymphatic system, I knew I had to do something. I had also been warned by a natural doctor that I was in a very bad situation in my health for my age and I had better take extreme measures now. My mother had battled and survived stage 4 breast cancer 20 years ago at the age of 46 and I didn’t want to be in that situation. The 60-Day Challenge came at a perfect time!

I sent in my measurements and pictures but did nothing until 2 weeks later due to fatigue and when my friend told me I had better get moving and would check with me each day to see what I had done. I have about 2 bad weeks a month…during my period and when I ovulate that I am wiped out. When I finally began t to exercise, I did a 7 day boot camp with Total Workout. I then tried the Ladybug workout, for my hormones, along with Step Away the Inches and Tempo Lower Body.

When I sent in my first 30 day results, I had lost 12.75 inches in 2 weeks. I was very happy and started receiving compliments that I was looking thinner and healthier. The 30 day submission fell during my mid-month cycle and I once again was tired…not as bad as before, so I could see improvements. My friend once again had to give me a kick in the pants to get me moving. I was feeling bad one day and she said “please just do PBS and brushing.” I believe even just doing PBS and brushing helps when you are depressed and feeling bad.

I have endometriosis that used to leave me crippled for a few days. I also have a polyp on my ovary that would result in 2 periods a month and would cause severe pain. I don’t even know it is there now. No pain and only one period! The sharp pains and aching in my breast no longer happen. Since starting the 60-Day Challenge, my periods come and go now without pain and extreme fatigue. I have been able to T-Tapp during my period and still have energy!

I was excited able to buy a size 8 dress before the 30 day mark of the contest. I was also very excited a couple of weeks ago to try on a skirt/sweater that was too small for me to wear at Easter that was now too big and baggy to wear! It was a size 12. I lost 21.75 inches and 5 pounds in this challenge. I am ashamed to say that I did not eat very healthy during the challenge, and know that if I had, my results would have been better! I still have a long way to go, especially in my lower half, but can see that results are happening. I hope to focus on Ladybug (for my hormones), Tempo Lower Body, Step Away the Inches and once a week add in Total Workout.

I will have my 3 month thermogram on July 29th and am excited to see improvements in the Fibrocystic breasts and especially the congested lymph system issues.

T-Tapp has been a blessing in my life and has given me more energy to spend with my husband and energetic little boys. It has helped me to carve out a little time for myself almost every day to exercise, body brush, have a salt bath and just “regroup”. Most of my improvements have been internal with my health, which is what I need. The outside results are slowly coming. It has helped with my depression and made me a better mom. Nearly every day, my boys ask if I have T-Tapped and ask to do TappCore with me. They especially like to do Hoe Downs. Their comments have been the best …”Mommy, you look happy and skinnier too. You feel like playing with us more too. T-Tapp is fun!” They have helped to keep me on track and ask if I am going to meet “The T-Tapp Lady”. I tell them that I hope so! When I get a package from T-Tapp, they ask if Teresa sent it to me. You have impacted their lives too. I learned during this challenge that if I do not take the time to care for myself, that I will not be able to care for my family the way I should.

I would love to win and go to the Retreat to take my T-Tapping to a new level, help my health issues even more and to meet “The T-Tapp Lady”. If I don’t win the contest, I am already a winner because I feel better, in and out, and I am able to be the Mom I should be to my little blessings. Sorry this is so long, but I want you to know how you have helped to change my life, Teresa. Thank you so much!
