Average to Lose Runner Up Winner
Susan L.
Hi, I’m Susan and I am thrilled to say that I am down a full pant size and 11.75 inches since May 15, 2009. Were it not for the 2009 60-Day Challenge, that would not be the case. I began my T-Tapp journey in 2005 and have lost two sizes since that time...with inconsistent workouts and bad form I might add. I managed to maintain my loss with this “on-again/off-again” T-Tapp routine and learned during this time that T-Tapp is the only thing I know of in life that keeps working when you quit doing it! But, I was beginning to lose focus on my goal when thankfully I received the email inviting me to join the 2009 60-Day T-Tapp Challenge.
Let me count the ways this challenge has put me back on track:
1. Getting involved on the T-Tapp Forums: As a result of this challenge, I have been on the forums almost every day, studying, learning, and applying every form tip I could find. The result of that has been amazing, and the inches are dropping off again. The forum introduced me to a whole network of friends who are as passionate about this wellness program as I am. The 60-Challenge Support thread in the forum has been exactly that...support. On the days I just didn’t think I could go home and workout...this bunch of folks were there for me. The understanding, the help, and the occasional kick in the behind have been invaluable!
2a. Making life-changing discoveries: As a result of this challenge, I’ve made the life-changing discovery that I do NOT have to diet in order to drop inches. I purposely chose NOT to change my eating habits during this particular 60 days. I wanted to see for myself that I did not have to give up what I love to eat to succeed! I am one of those folks who get really cranky when we can’t eat what we want. It’s a mind thing I know. The minute I go on a restrictive diet, all I want is what I can’t have. During this entire 60 days, I ate the foods I love, including, pizza, chips and cheese dip, ice cream, and even wedding cake! Now, I do not want to encourage others to eat in this fashion on a regular basis and I really do know better....this was just a test...now others won’t be forced to do this!
2b. In addition to learning the “no dieting necessary” lesson, I also learned the importance of truly taking OFF on my “off” days. Again, I purposely chose NOT to do anything on my OFF days because I wanted to see for myself that the inches would come off without my every waking moment being consumed with the thought of working out.
Both of these “experiments” ended with positive results! I might have had greater inch loss and dropped down another pant size had I been harder on myself, but it feels so good to know that I do not HAVE to do that to succeed with T-Tapp. In all my years of trying to achieve a healthy body, I have never found any program that did not require a strict diet and grueling workout regimen (which I have always failed to maintain). Not so with T-Tapp.
3. Learning that Consistency is the key: As a result of this challenge, I have learned the valuable lesson that CONSISTENCY is the key (as are the lats!). Only three to four days a week for 60 days proved to be all that was needed to get the inches coming off again. Now, after 60 days, I have made a habit of T-Tapp. There is less thinking about doing it and more doing it. As Teresa says, “Less is More with T-Tapp”. To that, I’d like to add that less on a regular basis is even more! My new mantra is “T-Tapp Consistency...the way to an allover better ME!!”
This list could go to infinity and beyond and I haven’t even begun to articulate the wealth of knowledge, mind to body (neurokinetic) awareness, and body strength I have gained as a result of this challenge...as well as perseverance, stamina, and increased faith. Teresa states in her “Yes You Can” seminar that these moves were God-given and I just want to thank God for Teresa Tapp and Teresa Tapp for T-Tapp.
SO...in summary: In 60 days, I have lost 11.75 inches and dropped a size while T-Tapping only three to four times a week and eating the foods I love...You can’t beat that with a stick!
AND NOW...in conclusion, I will just say that I would love to be one of the winners of this challenge because of the influence it would have with my friends and family whom I am now encouraging to make T-Tapp a part of their life for overall wellness. In addition, I really want to meet Teresa. I would like to thank her for being the generous person that she is and sharing her gifts, personal experiences, and knowledge with us. She didn’t have to do that and I, among many other T-Tappers, am very grateful. In reality however, I’m a sort of star-struck individual and I will probably just stare at her with my mouth agape...but inside I will be hugging and high-fiving her!
