Pregnancy is a time of great joy, with a lot of new emotions and wonderful things going on within your body. Although you have no control over the growing baby inside and belly outside, you do have some control over how much the rest of your body needs to grow. In pregnancy it is necessary to gain some weight, as it ensures that the baby is growing. Some of this weight gain actually is stored specifically for breastfeeding in places where we do not want it, like our hip pads, back, and arms.
