Lorie is a 39-year-old mother of a 2-1/2-year-old son and an 11-month-old daughter. Lorie used to be an internal audit manager and is now a stay-at-home-mom who lives near San Francisco, California. Lorie has decided to share with us in her own words her T-Tapp journey. Lorie’s struggle with her weight began when she was in her early 30s. She thinks that her weight gain was due to hormonal or metabolic changes. She gradually gained about 10 pounds, and while this resulted in a healthier weight for her body type, she started to become obsessed trying to lose this additional weight. Lorie spent four years with some successes and failures, but no permanent weight loss changes. She said she tried nearly every diet and exercise plan she could get her hands on, but nothing really helped her to improve how she looked or felt about her body. Then, two things happened: She finally got pregnant and found Teresa Tapp. Lorie had tried for two years to get pregnant and was ecstatic when it finally happened at the age of 36. Unfortunately, she suffered from morning sickness and did not have the energy to watch her diet or do the intense workouts that she was used to doing. During her pregnancy she was able to T-Tapp and tailor the program to her needs on a workout by workout basis. Lorie loved the fact that T-Tapp was both a cardiovascular AND a muscle toning workout so she could achieve maximal results with minimal time. Lorie says T-Tapp helped her to stay in shape, even though she had given up the intense exercise sessions she had done prior to pregnancy. After Lorie’s son was born via C-section she continued to do T-Tapp and lost her pregnancy weight within three months! She then got pregnant with her second child when her first son was only 10 months old. Lorie also did T-Tapp during her second pregnancy. Lorie had a harder time losing her pregnancy weight after the birth of her daughter (again a C-section baby), although she gained the same amount for both pregnancies. With two small children to care for, she felt exhausted most of the time and found it difficult to find the time or energy to exercise. Compounding the problem were all the cookies and sweets she was eating. Lorie excused giving into the craving for sweets, saying it was mainly caused by nursing her daughter. As a result, instead of losing the last eight pregnancy pounds she started to gain more weight. Lorie was feeling sorry for herself as none of her pre-pregnancy clothes fit and she had very little energy. Lorie then decided to read some of the more current success stories at T-Tapp.com. One day she noticed a story of a woman who was two years older than her and who went from a size 14 to 0 (see Carol’s amazing story). Lorie was very motivated by Carol's story. Since her daughter’s birth she had been only casually doing T-Tapp and just maintaining her weight, so she decided to follow the routine EXACTLY as Teresa recommended and committed to it in a more serious way. Within two weeks Lorie was losing inches and shrinking. Within six weeks she had lost the 10 pounds and at least 6 inches! Lorie’s friends and family were amazed with her fantastic results, which were achieved even while continuing to nurse her daughter. Some of her family and friends are now trying t-tapp for themselves. Lorie says now she is feeling much better about her body and is focusing setting a good example for her children. She has given up dieting and trying to reach an unrealistic weight. She finds that she is happy to fit into the clothes she had before her first pregnancy. Lorie credits much of her success to Teresa Tapp and the wonderful program she created. Lorie stresses that she really likes T-Tapp because it includes all three fitness components: Cardiovascular, muscle toning, and stretching in just a 40 minute commitment. Lorie says she feels stronger and more energized every time she does the workout, which is typically three to four times per week. This is the only formal exercise program she follows, although she admits having two small children certainly keeps her moving! Lorie truly believes that T-Tapp can help women of all sizes and ages to lose inches and improve their bodies. She has met some of the women that have been helped by T-Tapp and has also read the success stories on the T-Tapp.com website. Lorie is an active participant on our forum (http://www.t-tapp.com/forum) where T-Tappers cheer each other on, as well as share tips and advice. Lorie feels this keeps her motivated, as well as accountable when life gets very busy and exercising becomes a lower priority. Lorie, thank you for sharing your story with us and we wish you continued success! ![]() |
