Tina
Tina

Tina is a 30-year-old stay at home mother who lives outside of Columbus, Ohio. She has been married to her wonderful husband for ten years. They also have a son who is nearly five years old. Tina's inch loss has been slow and steady, and she would like to share with you her T-Tapp journey from the time she started and throughout the next year with tri-monthly updates. I hope you will enjoy hearing Tina's story and following her on her T-Tapp journey.

Stephanie: "Tina thanks for joining me today. Let's start with a little history on your experience with T-Tapp to date, first how did you find out about T-Tapp?"

Tina: "I found out about T-Tapp when I found some threads on it at iVillage. A fellow iVillager named Wenonah decided to try the program and post her inch loss results with measurements and photos. So I started frequently visiting Wenonah's website. Her excitement and success with the T-Tapp program helped me to decide to buy the Total Workout. I was so excited about them, I could not wait to get them in the mail; and, I put them in the VCR to watch as soon as I got them."

Stephanie: "What was your first impression of the workout once you saw the video tapes?"

Tina: "Well, to be honest, the movements looked so easy...that was until I tried them. It just shows how without proper form T-Tapp at first glance the movements can seem easy to do; but, they are actually quite comprehensive when done correctly."

Stephanie: "Did you find T-Tapp easy to learn?"

Tina: "It was not hard to learn the basic T-Tapp movements; however, since with T-Tapp you MUST always push to your personal max it is an ongoing learning experience. You can always tuck harder, hold that stomach in more, turn that knee to the little toe, etc. Which is why I believe you need not do more repetitions as you become more advanced, you just tweak your form more, plus you need to be aware of your movements which is nice because it keeps you mentally alert.”

Stephanie: "I totally agree, it is a workout that definitely keeps you thinking. Now Tina I know you have told me that you have not had spectacular inch loss like some of the other featured success stories, so why did you stick with T-Tapp?"

Tina: "I have continued with T-Tapp because Tapping makes me feel wonderful. I have far better posture, feel more toned, and have lots more energy which is important when you have an active 4-1/2-year-old boy to look after. I also never wake up with a backache and or *that stiff feeling* I used to dread every morning. I just feel better and T-Tapp eases my mind, I feel more balanced mentally and physically."

Stephanie: "Are you also implementing Teresa's Cellulite Removal Technique?"

Tina: "Oh yes! I use the CRT brushing and alfalfa. It has made a big difference in my skin. My stretch marks and surgery scars are FAR less noticeable, my skin texture is smoother and softer, and the brushing just feels great. I know the alfalfa has helped with the water retention in my hands. My rings are easier to move around throughout the whole month now whereas sometimes they used to be tight and I would take them off.."

Stephanie: "You are one of the few T-Tappers who has been fortunate enough to attend a T-Tapp fitness retreat. Can you tell us a bit about your experience?"

Tina: "Yes, I attended the Philly event in June of 2001. It was such a wonderful experience for me. I was able to meet Teresa and her staff. Teresa is such a caring person. She talked with me about what workouts were best for me as a combo body type. It was so great to workout with her and all the other T-Tappers.

I had read Denise Hentze's story and was very inspired by her. So it was so nice to meet her and talk with her about her T-Tapp, she is such an inspiration and very down to earth. I was very fortunate to meet and room with Margit, who is now a T-Tapp Trainer in Florida. She has become a great friend of mine. In fact, Margit continues to help me improve my form even more and I have definitely gone to the next level with her advice. I think it is great how she shares with me her knowledge any time I ask for advice. What is really nice is that Teresa, her staff, and all the T-Tapp trainers I know are very caring, genuine people. But, the best part of the retreat was meeting other T-Tappers. While the form pointers are great, you can gleam a lot of them from the website and of course the instructional videos, so I have to say the BEST part is meeting Tappers! If you cannot get to a T-Tapp sponsored event it is nice to hook up via the forum other T-Tappers in your area, very inspirational."

Stephanie: "Are you using any sort of eating program to help you attain your goals and if so what?"

Tina: "Well I have been doing Weight Watchers for about a month and a half, and trying to limit my man made carb foods. I also use the Pyruvyl-Glycine spray and the B-12 Plus spray daily. I find this gives me more energy throughout my day and helps reduce my cravings for starchy carbohydrates.”

Stephanie: “A lot of T-Tappers seem to use both plans, and in case some of our readers are not aware more information about Teresa’s way of eating can be found at our forum at http://www.t-tapp.com/forum by doing a search, but in a nutshell Teresa encourages eating quality nutritious foods She recommends a two days on, one day off program of man-made processed carbs followed by a day off. So for example Monday and Tuesday you would eat God-made carbs (basically soups, salads, meats, and veggies) followed by a day where you allow yourself processed carbs like pasta, chips, cookies, candy, alcoholic beverages, sodas, etc. You just keep repeating this cycle and eventually you can cut down where you do an every other day schedule of God-made and man made, this way you are not depriving yourself and setting yourself up for a binge on so called *bad foods* as with her plan no food is bad…even chocolate!”

Tina: “I have to agree, it is far easier not to pig out when you know the next day you can have pizza.”

Stephanie: "Tina I want to thank you for your time with me today and for allowing us to follow you on your T-Tapp journey over the next year."
