I have struggled with my weight since I was a child. In high school and college I exercised several hours a day with weights, bike racing, running and swimming and maintained, with much effort, a low BMI. After graduation, real life set in and I didn’t have as much time to exercise. However, I still exercised at least an hour a day six or seven days a week doing aerobics, kick-boxing, biking, running, step aerobics and Pilates. But even with that amount of exercise, I found it increasingly difficult to keep the pounds off with each passing year. As I neared forty, I began feeling hopeless…the hours of workouts and dieting was no longer keeping the inches off.

Weight control became even more difficult when, at the age of forty I married my second husband and had three failed pregnancies in one year. Between the pregnancies and the medications and hormones I was taking to sustain the pregnancies, I gained another twenty pounds. After the final loss, my hormones were so messed up that I couldn’t lose the weight no matter how much I exercised or dieted. I exercised close to two hours a day and tried a reduced carbohydrate diet but still only lost a few pounds. I felt like I was on a hamster wheel getting nowhere—the hours of daily exercise was, at best, maintaining my current weight which was twenty pounds higher than my pre-pregnancy/medication weight and at least thirty pounds over my ideal. I was getting worn out physically and emotionally, but I was afraid to cut back on exercise for fear I’d gain even more weight. I was becoming so depressed at my lack of ability to improve my health that hopelessness was setting in. I felt as though I had been given a prison sentence which would force me to exercise to exhaustion for the rest of my life to simply maintain my current shape, with no hope of ever getting to a size at which I would feel healthy and confident.

Then, one Sunday my pastor’s wife told me about T-Tapp. She said she had already lost four inches in two weeks. I was still skeptical, but checked out the website. Much to my surprise, after only four days of doing the free exercises on the website my husband asked where the padding around my waist/abdomen was going (he didn’t know I was doing anything new or different). I noticed that my clothes already fit me better.

I couldn’t believe it! I had lost more noticeable inches from four days of the T-Tapp exercises than I had in nine months of my increasingly strenuous and exhausting workouts. I had never experienced this quick or noticeable improvement with any of the exercise programs I had ever done. I was hooked. I ordered the Total Workout and began my two-week boot camp. Even with the success I already had, it was very scary for me to give up “my program” to try T-Tapp. But, now after Tapping for about four weeks I have lost approximately eleven inches and my pre-meds/baby clothes fit again! I should add that my boot camp began over the Thanksgiving holiday week, during which I ate several meals at restaurants, complete with appetizers, full course meals and deserts. I have had a lot of other benefits as well. After years of painful cortisone injections, acupuncture and medications that did nothing, my twenty year heel spur is much better. My shoulders, which had very little flexibility, are moving better! My posture is straighter. My knee—which hurt every time I did my step aerobics— has quit hurting. I’m happier and less anxious. I’m having less mood swings and PMS already!

I am amazed with my results in the first four weeks—particularly when I’m realizing each day how far from perfect my form has been. I’m finding that the workouts are actually getting harder as I learn to use the proper techniques.

I was also happy to find that the T-Tapp book and website doesn’t promote unrealistic body images. The men and women are average people, not surgery or air-brush enhanced supermodels that most of us could never afford to look like. Not only have I lost inches with T-Tapp, but I have also gained confidence in myself and the body God gave me.

I am so happy that I can now have a realistic exercise program that will help me keep my body fat at healthy levels, keep my heart, bones and muscles strong, and not exhaust me mentally and physically. Thank you so much, Theresa, for sharing this information with us all—it has truly been life-changing for me. It has given me so much hope that I can live a healthy life without obsessing about exercise. It has given me my life back. It is so nice to have more time to pursue new and creative things I didn’t have time for in the past. And thanks to all the Trainers and T-Tappers who so willingly share tips and encouragement.
