I am so happy to share with you what T-Tapp has done for me. Married for 7 years and I am a mother too; Larissa 2 1/2 years old, Gavin 1 year, and Neveah Ann 2 year old angel in heaven.
Shortly after our sweet angel had to leave us, my journey with T-Tapp began. I had heard about it before her passing and after the funeral my videos came in. I would actually put them in anytime I was very upset. I was overwhelmed with grief and taking care of a newborn. Focusing on the movement helped a little and in a week I also noticed my waist was two inches smaller after only a week of workouts; although, I couldn’t care less about inch loss during that time of mourning. I did however keep up with at least Primary Back Stretch because I had severe back issues for many years.
Primary Back Stretch was the reason I bought the workout to begin with. Let’s back up a little. When I was a teen I never thought that I would end up with health problems, as most teens I was of course invincible. I figure skated during those years and thus did take some falls. One fall in particular led to more problems than I thought possible.
At 16 years old I fell chin first into the ice, a few stitches and a day later I hurt all over. My mother took me to her chiropractor because I was complaining of my neck hurting badly, sore shoulders, and headaches. The chiropractor helped a great deal at first and over time my neck felt somewhat better and I could go on with life. He told me my neck looked like someone smashed me with a two by four! I had to keep seeing him every few months after that.
Long story short: two more injuries I had shortly thereafter caused problems with my spine and nerves. Then after my first pregnancy delivered via c-section the site of the epidural shot caused me months of pain. I had weird spasms down my legs for a time afterward as well.
All of this led to when I was pregnant with my second child I had a lot of neck, back, and shoulder problems including: headaches every single day, a painful grinding every time I turned my head, my neck would pop and crackle all the time, blurry vision, pinching in my right shoulder blade, waking to sharp pains in my legs and head and behind my eyes. I would also wake up with numbness and tingling in my arms and legs and sometimes my arm would be totally asleep so that I couldn’t move (this happened way more often than would be considered normal). The list goes on.
My dear husband was rubbing my neck every single day. One day he told me, “You know what, tell me when you DON’T have a headache.” It was that bad, and I exercised every day at this point in time. It was my healthiest pregnancy if you don't count the back and neck problems.
Soon after the birth of my second child I came across T-Tapp on the internet. I had read about it before in a magazine because it was about a local lady (who is now a T-Tapp trainer), but I thought it sounded like a crazy scam. Lose inches fast, every time I hear those words my eyes tend to glaze over. I was still young then too and didn’t have much extra weight at all.
So, after the birth of my second child I started with the exercises in the “try before you buy” section of the website and was very impressed that in less than a week my thighs were 2 inches smaller from the Awesome Legs move…what? Really? I couldn’t believe it. I was so excited; having lost weight before but with several hours of exercise a day and I didn’t have time to workout that much with two babies around, so this was perfect.
Fast-forward to after we lost our little girl. I still had my neck and back trouble and the tension and sadness from her death made it worse. I kept reading about Teresa’s Primary Back Stretch but it wasn’t on the try before you buy section. So when my DVDs came in I started right away desperate to find relief.
I really focused on the Primary Back Stretch (PBS) which is at the beginning of the workout. In addition to the workout I did PBS several times a day for a week. It was hard, my neck would crackle and crunch and it wasn’t perfect but by the end of the week my daily headaches were gone! In the midst of all the stress of the time that was amazing to achieve such healing in my back and neck and even my nerves stopped bothering me.
I kept working at it, instructional 1 and later instructional 2, PBS two times a day every day. My back is better, healed, no more pinching, no more waking in the night in agony, my vision is cleared.
I did after that quit working out altogether save for the very occasional Basic Workout Plus and PBS daily to keep my pain away. I was suffering with a lot of emotional overeating and then became pregnant while my second child was still only 9 months old. I ate a whole lot and most of it junk, hardly ever T-Tapped but continued the Primary Back Stretch. I think I would have been much larger had it not been for the few workouts I managed. I even tried Total Workout many times but was left feeling overworked and stressed.
After moving into a new home and my third child, a son, being born safely at home we started to try and move on from the pain of our loss, I slowly started working out again. I bought some new DVDs and ended up using Basic Plus Tempo quite a bit. I got out of my 1X maternity wear and into some size 20 women’s jeans. That felt very good.
Workouts were mostly on and off at this point but there was a glorious five weeks where I worked out 3-4 times a week and in five weeks lost 5 inches in my waist! I couldn’t believe it. I went from wearing that size 20W to a size 18W!
Then I slowed down again and only worked out here and there, maybe a set of hoe downs, maybe one Basic Plus Tempo a week, I could manage to go up to two weeks without a PBS then was forced to because my back and neck pain would return along with a side of headache. On top not working out very much I was still eating poorly, sodas, candy, and too much of it. But despite all that, after another month and a half of barely ever working out but always remembering to tuck and lift ribs, tighten lats, suck in that tummy while doing daily chores, I was again down a whole size! Now I am fitting comfortably in a size 16W! I can’t believe it!
T-Tapp can work miracles. For me it did and still is. It helped me during times of grief, kept my weight gain at bay during massive emotional overeating, and healed my spinal injuries that I had for many years beforehand. Praise the Lord and God Bless Teresa Tapp. I am so grateful for her wonderful gift of healing and teaching.
T-Tapp has touched me and helped my family in ways I never thought an exercise could. I believe it truly is for everyone of any age and body type and can fit into any time in your life. It will help make you strong, healthy and focused. Just do the best that YOU can with what is going on in your life and it will help you. If it can help me through all that it surely can help you.
And the journey isn’t over for me yet. I am currently participating in the January Jump Start Challenge and working out more consistently than I have since we lost our child almost 3 years ago. I have high hopes for our future and T-Tapp is a part of that future. I’ll be sure to let you know if I reach my goal of a size 12 by our wedding anniversary in March! Even if I don’t I will be that much closer and I have Teresa and all of her staff to thank for it. Thank you all for reading my story, that is a blessing to me that you took the time. Remember, you can do it!
