I’ve never been an athletic person.  Truth be told, I do not like to exercise or sweat.  I haven’t been more than 25 lbs. overweight but I’ve battled those 25 lbs. since adolescence.  My life has been consumed with a never ending quest for the ideal body, which was fueled at an early age by the images I saw on t.v. and in magazines.  Comparing what I saw in the mirror to those images and to some girls at school that seemed to have it all, was what laid the foundation for the distorted body image that I carried into adulthood.

In my pursuit of finding the solution to all of my weight woes, I bought practically every exercise contraption sold on infomercials only to sell them the next year for $10 at garage sales.  I spent even more money on magazines, books, supplements, dvds, lotions and potions.  When these things failed to give me any real results I refused to lose hope, there was always that next product that I just knew would be the answer.

So in August of 2001 when I read about T-Tapp on a Weight Watcher’s post I did not hesitate to order the Total Workout.  I sat down and watched the video.  I may have tried it once or twice but for whatever reason I didn’t continue.  Then in January 2004 I picked up the Woman’s World magazine with Jenny Russell on the cover.  I realized that I already had purchased the workout and I dug them out.  Again, I did them a couple of times and back on the shelf they went.

Third time truly is a charm.  Earlier this year (2008) I decided to get rid of my vast collection of unused exercise videos when I came across the T-Tapp ones.  I decided to give it an honest try.  I ended up replacing the VHS ones for DVDs.  I also bought Teresa’s book, which I highly recommend.  The book goes into great detail about each move, what it is designed to do with wonderful illustrations of common form mistakes, and inspiring testimonies.  I refer to it regularly.

I am amazed at how quickly you start seeing changes with T-Tapp.  To think I could have experienced that 7 years ago when I initially purchased the system.  Oh the regret!  I haven’t really begun to hit my stride yet but what I have done has brought remarkable results.  I started the workout sometime in February mainly the Basic Workout +  for about 3-4 times a week.  In May I added the Instructional 2 a few times.  I am bad at measuring and recording my workouts but I can say that I’ve gone from a size 14 to a size 10, which I still can’t believe.  I have scheduled a training session with Annette while I am in Iowa on vacation, I can’t wait!   I am convinced that I have found the answer and my search is finally over!
