My journey with weight began in my mid-20’s when I was put on fertility pills for a number of months. After months of this, I began to have extreme pain and constant bleeding which was diagnosed as severe endometriosis. My Ob/Gyn then put me on a regime of medication that shut down estrogen production to try and help alleviate the endometriosis. Things actually became worse and I underwent a hysterectomy with both ovaries removed at the age of 28. The doctor felt that because I was a DES daughter I reacted to the levels of hormones. However, she did not want me in early menopause at the age of 28 so I was given hormone replacements.
Weight was never an issue until this time. But the scale kept creeping up and up. I am 5' 4" and my average weight used to be 118lbs. but now it was reaching up to 200lbs. I tried to eat healthy and I worked out a ladies gym regularly. I thought that "this was it" ...there was nothing I could do. Then I found two things: a great Chinese Traditional Medicine Doctor who weaned me off the estrogen and onto some Chinese supplements (also with acupuncture treatments). The weight began to come off and over the next 2 1/2 months I dropped 20 lbs. Then in January I went into a bookstore to look for a woman's workout regime that could be done at home because I had seen no results, no toning over the 4 years I spent at the gym. I picked up Fit and Fabulous, bought it and began to work through the book. After only 3 weeks I began to see changes!!! I was astounded; I could see "cuts" beginning in my arms and also in the abs. area. Totally convinced that T-Tapp was the way to go, I purchased the instructional 1 and 2 DVD. I don't have enough steam (yet) to do the whole work-out so I have been alternating with instruction 1 for a few days and then instructional 2. This way I am not tiring and can concentrate on form and technique. IT WORKS!! Since January/07 I have lost 20 inches and another 30 lbs. I cannot believe the results. I am now 49, never felt better, and I am well on my way to be fit and fabulous by 50. Oh, by the way, today I went and bought a pair of size 10 petite pants. I have not wore this size since I was in my mid-20's.
