60 Day Challenge
Winner: Teen Category

Nina S.

“Youth is wasted on the young.” Never before has that statement held more truth for me. As a young person, I have experienced the recklessness with which teenagers take care of themselves. We stay up too late, eat whatever we want in unlimited quantities, push our bodies to the limit, and then sleep it all off on weekends. I know that somewhere in the back of every teenager's mind there is the belief you can live forever. I would consider my health habits above average for those my age. I sleep no less than 6 hours a night; I try to watch what I eat and I have always taken an interest in physical fitness. I have been dancing on and off from the time I could walk and was always a sucker for the latest workout craze. Over the years, I had slimmed down from a pudgy kid to a more trim young adult. Entering my first year of college, I took pride in my body but always wanted to lose a little more. I was shocked and confused when I returned home during winter break to discover I had put on 5 pounds and suddenly my favorite clothes were a bit snug. I tried to lose the weight but only ended up gaining an additional 5 lb over the next semester. When I returned home for summer, I was mortified when I took a good look at myself in the mirror. I was by no means overweight but I was certainly larger and unhealthier than I had been the year prior. I knew I had to make some changes.

I ordered Basic Workout Plus just before Memorial Day weekend. I had heard of T-Tapp on a message board years prior but never made the commitment to purchase the system. I was curious as to how a simple workout could provide so many benefits. I had to see for myself. I dabbled with Basic Workout plus for a month, just waiting for the results to magically appear. I was still digging into ice cream and cake on a daily basis and thought it was "okay" because I'd wash it down with a diet coke. I soon realized that a half-hearted effort was not enough. I was abusing my youthful metabolism and sapping what should have been boundless energy.

When the challenge was posted on the T-Tapp message boards, I thought it sounded like a great idea but was hesitant to join. I didn't want to fail and feel like I let myself down so I opted out of the whole thing. Several days later when I read about the added perk of discounts, I soon changed my mind. I had been meaning to add to my T-Tapp library, in hopes of stepping up results but I now had the incentive of some deep discounts on some new products. I was on board! I took my "before" pictures and was crushed when I saw my backside view. I had no idea what I looked like from behind! I reasoned with myself that you can't have "befores" without "afters." I was determined to make my "afters" count.

I then committed myself to a 5 day B/R bootcamp and some amazing changes took place. I made every effort to concentrate on my form and the results came immediately. My posture (which was good to begin with) improved greatly. As a result of standing taller, with my shoulders back, I needed to buy new bras because I had gone up a cup size! I was sleeping more soundly at night. My energy level shot up. AND, people here and there started asking if I had lost weight. Funny thing was, I hadn't.

For years, I have wanted to have a thinner body, clearer skin, long natural nails, and an overall "cover-girl" look. I knew that models looks were partly the skill of photo-editing wizards, and makeup magicians. However, I also knew that this was not only the product of master photographers but the picture of health as well. I knew that if I committed myself to making small changes each day, I would soon see my desired look emerge.

I kept at T-Tapping, at least 4 times a week. My nails started to grow in thicker and longer. My skin soon emitted a radiance I had never seen before. I was confident for the first time in months! I felt so empowered; I knew I could soon make changes in my eating patterns. I started to eat more god-made foods. For the past month, I have limited my sugar and flour intake. I consume much less chemicals than I used to and eat more whole, natural foods. I never realized how enjoyable eating clean could be. After restricting refined sugar and flour for just over a month, I have dropped 7 lb. I love being able to enjoy things like nuts, meat, dairy, etc and be able to maintain my new size and shape.

I knew that I had slimmed down a bit in the past few months but reality did not truly set in until I just took a look at my "afters." I could not believe how much better I look. I nearly cried when I put my backside views side by side. What a difference! The fact is, I am so proud to have developed a consistent habit and commitment to my health that a slimmer body is just a side benefit. T-Tapp has given me an immense sense of power. I feel like I can conquer the world!

I will be started school again soon and have already started chatting up T-Tapp with my roommates. They will be learning T-Tapp as soon as we all move in together. I can't wait so that we can check each other’s form AND results. Thank you SO much for this challenge. It has changed my life! I will never have to search for another workout system again! I am so thankful that I had this past summer to develop better health habits. I want to make my younger years count so that when my peers are struggling with all kinds of health problems in our middle age, I won't have to suffer because I have T-Tapp. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
