Okay, guess you have given me a "last chance" offer to tell you my success story after all!
Renee McLaughlin (my fabulous trainer!) asked me to email you a couple of months ago,
but I was kinda modest and tried to be low-keyed.
Every day I find I'm a "walkin' advertisement for T-Tapp" --- including yesterday at the
dentist office! My hygienist could not believe how good I look --- she is attending Renee's
clinic on Saturday! I am so proud to encourage friends & acquaintances alike.
It began on January 5th 2005 --- when I made the decision to get healthy once and for all.
Feeling yucky was a daily burden. And, I was indeed tired of being tired. I have several
"before" pictures from last summer --- I put on even more pounds before Jan. THE picture
I personally refer to as my "before" picture is of my feet on the scale (on Jan 5th!), and the
scale # is 201. That moment was life-changing, and I knew I had to own the # before I
could change me. Sooo, I got my camera and took that photograph. Then, I got out a new
measuring tape and took lots of measurements --- 27 total --- because I knew I had to own
all the #'s in inches just like the # of pounds before I could truly and honestly work on changing
and becoming healthy.
The measuring tape is the best defense to staying motivated. I lost pounds and inches quickly
in the very beginning few months. In the last 7 months I've lost only 10 pounds, but many, many
many inches. It is my "measurement chart" that became the most encouraging tool to continue
T-tapping, etc. The scale (never been my best friend anyway!) was so stuck! And, because I
saw my body measurements decrease consistently --- I was finally not a slave to the scale
read-out # !! Taking measurements has become my favorite words-of-encouragement for all
newbies, it is the best .99 cent investment; yet the LAST thing most of us women want to own
up to in the beginning.
* 5'3" tall, 45 years old -- size 18, weighed 201 pounds & 605.25 total inches on Jan. 5, 2005
* as of Oct 11, 2005, still 5'3" and 45 years old -- but size 12, 167 pounds & 509.75 total inches
= 34 # and 95.5 " loss. WOW, in only 10 months.
And, I'm still a "work-in-progress". If I can do it, anyone can. I don't look like Barbie, and never
will. Nor do I aspire to. No fancy gym memberships, or pre-packaged daily meals ... just
eat better real foods and T-tapp. So easy, so do-able.
I feel like I stand taller now, I have more energy and inner strength. And, am not nearly as clumsy
'cause of all the balance work --- not yet graceful, either!
I have shared my size/measurement chart with sisters and friends and Renee because I really
believe that change could only happen for me once I really owned up to my own personal truth.
And that every 6 weeks I have been amazed at how many inches my body has lost (not pounds!)
My journey to continue to be stronger and healthier is on-going ----- and I am so glad to be able
to inspire others. Most recently, my 19 year-old daughter. How great is that :)
