I started T-Tapping in August 2008. I had read about it online in a parenting blog and I was intrigued. I looked into it and was impressed by what Teresa said about losing inches verses weight. While I bought the workout in 2007 I discovered I was pregnant with my 2nd baby and I didn’t want to start a new exercise program. I planned on starting after the birth of my son but a few weeks postpartum I was struck with terrible sciatic pain in my right leg due to a disc herniation. I spent the next few weeks at the chiropractors, which with 2 children is not easy but the pain did not improve. Then while I was on vacation the pain got worse. It was so bad that I was on the floor and could not get up. Through medication I was able to somewhat manage the pain but the whole week I was on vacation I was limping around and putting my weight on my left leg. When I returned home I had to have a cortisone shot in order to alleviate the pain but even though the pain was gone, my right leg had numbness and was much weaker than my left leg.

In August I started doing Basic Workout Plus. I first spent 5 days doing instructional tape 1 and then I started Basic Workout Plus. I did T-Tapp sporadically until October. I didn’t take my measurements after the initial measuring but I did notice that when I was consistent with T-Tapp I felt better, had more energy, and my clothes fit better. I was attending my friend’s wedding at the beginning of November and so I decided to do a Bootcamp before I left. While inch loss was part of the goal it was more just the idea that since I was already checking off days to go to the wedding, if I did T-Tapp everyday when it was time for the wedding the Bootcamp would be over.

I did a 2 week Bootcamp. I couldn’t make it through all the reps but I pushed myself to my best each day and when the time for the wedding came I was surprised. There has been visible inch loss but what was more important was that the numbness in my right leg which has been there since June and had only marginally improved was almost completely gone. Additionally my right leg felt much stronger and I no longer had any back pain from carrying the kids up and down stairs and around. For months I had needed to grab the banister and pull myself up the stairs and here after 2 weeks of T-Tapping I was running up and down the stairs.

Furthermore, on the day of the wedding I was wearing heels for about 5 hours and during that time I spent most of the time up and about often carrying either my baby or my toddler. I was very concerned that my back would be in terrible shape and we were traveling back home the next day. I took Motrin after the wedding and before going to bed in hopes of preventing severe backache and when I woke up the next morning, there was nothing. No pain.

I credit T-Tapp with this remarkable improvement in my back and sciatic pain. Just a 2 week Bootcamp of 15 minutes a day and I was stronger than I had been in a long time. When I returned home for the next 2 weeks I did BWO+ every other day and then I finally took my measurements. And it was another shocker, I knew I had lost some but when I totaled it up, I had lost 14 inches from my measurements in August. This too all without changing my diet at all. And my diet included plenty of chocolate, ice cream, and other yummy things.

T-Tapp truly is the workout that works and not just for inch loss. It really is a rehabilitative workout. I am so thankful to Teresa and grateful to have found out about T-Tapp.
