Emily Richter My name is Emily Richter, and I am a Certified T-Tapp Fitness Trainer. For virtually my entire life, I have suffered from a variety of medical conditions. As a result of their impact on my life, it became a passion of mine to uncover the secrets to achieving optimum health. I strongly believe that if it were not for T-Tapp and my faith in God, I would have become permanently disabled and unable to help others who face their own battles.
When I was three years old, I was diagnosed with Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) and hospitalized for three weeks. ITP is a disorder of the blood involving the immune system, and its cause it unknown. Antibodies, which are part of the body's immunologic defense against infection, attach to platelets in the blood (cells that help stop bleeding), and cause their destruction. ITP weakened my immune system from that point on.
When I was fourteen years old, I began suffering from Chronic Epstein Barr Virus (CEBV) after an appendectomy and was bedridden my entire freshman year.
The CEBV remained in remission for four years until I became pregnant with my daughter. I suffered from it during my entire pregnancy and six months after my daughter was born. Once again, I battled it with nutrition and exercise, but my health problems were far from over.
During my last year of college, one month prior to my graduation, at 22 years old, I had to have a hysterectomy due to cervical cancer. Within three months after the surgery, due to hormonal imbalance, I had gained 40 pounds, four dress sizes, and was thrown into early menopause. For the next four years I stayed in the gym six days a week, two hours a day, but with no success. This time, traditional exercise just wasn't enough to combat the cumulative effects of all my body had experienced.
In 1998, I saw an ad in Women's Fitness Magazine, and discovered T-Tapp. By following the suggested introductory regimen, which involves no weights, T-Tapp was able to do for me what four years in the gym could not. After T-Tapping for only eight weeks in the privacy of my own home, I finally returned to my normal weight, shape, and energy.
Since 2002, I have had three surgeries, one of which was a subcutaneous double mastectomy. After the surgery, I used the CRT system to keep my lymphatic system moving and did as many T-Tapp movements as physically possible. Although it was a very emotional and painful surgery, my doctors could not believe the rate at which I healed. In addition to T-Tapping, within four months, I was doing African dance, jazz dance, and swimming laps, all of which requires major upper body flexibility and strength.
Since January 2005, the CEBV has been in remission. After 10 surgeries (the latest one in February 2005), I am blessed that I am alive and on my way to a greater wellness. I have a beautiful, healthy daughter who understands what it takes to overcome hardships and remain thankful. Yes, it has been hard but all of it is worth it if I can be a blessing to someone who may be going through the same situation.
I owe so much to Teresa Tapp and the T-Tapp system because it helped me overcome my ailments and live a normal life. At times when I could barely move and it hurt to get out of bed, I forced myself to do a few T-Tapp movements. After only 5- 10 minutes, my strength begun to return and soon I felt close to normal.
I have been a T-Tapp trainer since 2000. It is so rewarding to teach men, women, and children about nutrition and the T-Tapp system, and to help them overcome their own health and weight issues. I specialize in helping women who are going through or experiencing signs of menopause, as well as those struggling with obesity.
Due to the struggles I experienced with my health and raising my daughter alone, I have a heart for those who can’t make it on their own. I started Impact on Life, a non-profit organization that assists those who cannot afford the fitness and nutrition assistance they need to live a healthy life. Through this spiritually inspired organization, I found a way to combine my passion for T-Tapp and my desire to share the love and compassion of God.
T-Tapp is for everyone; even my daughter enjoys the exercises. When my mother, who has suffered from a back and neck surgery, begun T-Tapping, I had to physically hold her up while doing certain T-Tapp movements. Her back and neck have become extremely strong through T-Tapp. She now enjoys dancing and she is studying to become a Certified T-Tapp Trainer.
T-Tapp is a total fitness system I believe in completely. It has given me back my health, and given my daughter a mother she can lean on.
