Karen Seraphine
Gilroy, CA
Certified T-Tapp Trainer

Hi! My name is Karen Seraphine. I live in Gilroy, CA with my husband, Steve, our 2 year old Rottweiler, Boomer ,and our 1 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Herbie.

I hold a Master of Arts degree in Physical Education/Fitness Management from New York University and I am certified by the American Council on Exercise as a Personal Trainer and a Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant.

I have been a certified personal trainer since 1991 and have worked for several large fitness centers across New York, Arizona, and California. In 2005 I looked at my current situation and decided to take Personal Training to another level and started my own business “HomeRun Personal Training“ It is a home based business which focuses on developing one-on-one fitness programs.

I was introduced to T-Tapp by my mother. As a personal trainer, she knew that I am always looking for effective ways to help my clients. I began Tapping in August, 2005, and IMMEDIATLEY knew this was something completely new and different, and more importantly, something special.

As you can imagine I have been involved in many different types of exercise for several different reasons. I have exercised for sports, for weight loss, and I have been a body-builder. No workout has ever done for me what T-Tapp has. I have always been energetic, but often it was more a case of “if I stop I’ll fall.” Therefore I was constantly on the move. What I considered “real” energy, really wasn‘t. Since beginning T-Tapp, I have more true energy that I know what to do with. I can work with clients through the day and still have enough stamina to run in the yard with the dogs, do housework, and run errands. I am sleeping better than I have in years, and waking up more rested than ever before. Excessive yawning used to be an issue for me as well. I attributed it to spending ten to fourteen hours in a gym and breathing the recirculated air, but when I left the gym it was still happening. I began T-Tapping, and to my surprise, the yawning stopped.

Several years ago was diagnosed with chronic Epstein-Barr Virus. T-Tapp has enabled me to manage the symptoms of this sometimes debilitating affliction. At the time of diagnosis, I went from a size 12 to a size 6 as my body was trying to fight off the virus. T-Tapp has enabled me to maintain my size 6, while creating tighter, more defined muscle structure. It has given me the ability to build muscle density rather than muscle bulk, as I am genetically inclined to do, and have done in the past.

In addition, scoliosis has been a part of my life. I wore a Boston Low Profile Brace from the beginning of ninth grade to the end of my senior year in high school. As such, it is my goal to avoid the back pain that can follow. Also, two car accidents resulting in back injuries made me very particular about what I do with my back. Waking up with back pain became the “norm” for me. T-Tapp has so many rehabilitative aspects, being a physical therapy approach to exercise, that it is no longer a problem.

I am proud to be the daughter half of the first mother/daughter T-Tapp Trainer Team, and grateful to Teresa for her insight, her skills, and for her creation of this incredible workout!

My goal is to spread the joy of T-Tapp, and help as many people as I can reach their health and fitness goals. If you have any questions, I can always be reached at karens@t-tapp.com.
