Essay:   My main goal was to feel better and not need so much pain medication. That goal was definitely achieved. In addition, when I first started on this challenge, I wanted to lose about 20 pounds and get rid of the muffin around my waist. Fortunately I gained so much more. The muffin is in fact almost totally gone as long as I stand or sit up straight. That is MAJOR! But, the weight – well those of you who are successful at T-Tapp have told me that it isn’t important and I have finally come to realize it really isn’t. That is not “sour grapes” thinking. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed but it really is so much more! One of my neighbors (my age and height) has recently lost the weight that I originally wanted to lose and she looks dangerously skinny and not healthy. I really just wanted to look healthy, be proud of my body and not ashamed to walk across a room full of people. All through this challenge, I didn’t measure and I’m glad I didn’t. Again, because I would have probably been seriously disappointed because I didn’t lose a lot of inches. (I didn’t) But why, I kept asking myself did people keep telling me how good I look and how much more I must be losing? It all came together for me when my long suffering and totally supporting husband took my pictures today and I looked at them compared to the before. My posture has improved in a major way and I don’t look like the dowdy little old lady who used to look back at me in the mirror. I feel good and I like myself. Thank you Teresa Tapp. I still have looseness in my skin after losing more than 50 pounds in the last year and a half but I’m sure that will improve as I continue to do T-Tapp More and Turn Back Time as well as brushing daily. Organs in Place is also a favorite and I do it every night and every morning. I’m grateful for the Challenge because it kept me honest and on track! Yeah Me!!
