Essay:  I’m on a journey to stop my health challenges from getting the best of me. Scoliosis and kyphosis have been my greatest challenges in trying to maintain structural alignment, correct posture, stand tall and straight, and stay flexible. Along with skeletal challenges, I have Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, which impacts my energetic and metabolism; a sluggish lymphatic system; pre-diabetes; and anxiety issues. I was recently diagnosed with mild Obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a condition I’ve had since birth but not identified until last year. Now I understand why I could not excel in sports or aerobic activities throughout my youth and adulthood without getting winded. However, nonoe of these health issues have stopped me from doing T-Tapp and achieving real results.

I met Theresa at a 2016 T-Tapp event in Boston. She noticed I was having difficulty with the floor postu7res and said she needed to work with me one-on-one because of my scoliosis and kyphosis. Following Theresa’s advice, I completed the 60-day Challenge. I went all out with a 14-day boot camp using the Total Workout at the Beginner Rehab Level and then alternated days between Beginner Rehab and Basic plus Tempo. I never missed a day; even on the day I had anesthia for a medical procedure. I followed the god made/man made plan for six of the eight weeks, and did body brushing daily.

The beginner Rehab workout was not easy, as I am chronically misaligned and this impacted my ability to balance correctly and maintain form, especially for the first few weeks. I can always tell when my hips or back are out of alignment based on how well I can hold the postures. I worked through any daily difficulties, and found myself looking forward to the workouts.

I can’t say that I’ve lost multiple sizes in the 60-days, but my clothes do fit better and I can wear things I could not before. I was hoping for more dramatic changes in my beginning and ending photos, but I know my body is building muscle and has a more sculpted look. My chiropractor says my body is adjusting better and differently than before, and my kyphosis is not as pronounced. I’m working on keeping my shoulders back and standing straighter. My lymphatic system is moving better and my elimination has improved. I feel better physically and mentally. Anxiety issues have improved dramatically and my outlook on life is better. It’s too soon to check for improvements in my thyroid or blood sugar, but I’m confident that T-Tapp will continue to have far reaching effects in my life.

I’ve worked very hard during this challenge and of course would like to win. I need all the help I can get and it would be a real boost to attend the Safety Harbor Retreat. I’m on a journey to improve my health and am thrilled that T-Tapp will be on the journey with me. I look forward to seeing my body and health improvements a year from now and beyond. I plan to look and feel awesome in future and in my senior years.
