Essay: This has been an amazing 60 days! I just completed my first 60 day challenge. I had not exercised in at least a year, and was getting old. I felt it in the stiffness of my body, and the pain in my knee. I was praying for a change – I was ready. It so happened that a group of friends and I, on a quest to get closer to the Lord, took a challenge to pray, eat better, and exercise. We all do our own things, but we are there for each other for encouragement. I chose T-tapp. This 60 day T-tappchallenge has been a blessing.
I chose to do the T-tapp More Rehab Program. The only exercise I could do that first week was More, the second week I added steppin, the third week I added chair, and finally added broom. As I added each section, I would continue with what I had been doing, so I was exercising for at least an hour. Wow, really, me exercise for an hour! In these last two weeks I have tried the My Home section, I have done it twice, it kinda kicks my behind, but I learned so much. I have so enjoyed T-tapp, and will continue, because I have a long way to go.
A couple of amazing things happened: I lost 22 pounds, and my knee pain has decreased so much that I hardly ever feel pain. We live 30 to 45 minutes or more from everywhere, so we are in our vehicle a lot. When I would get out of the vehicle I would be so stiff, and my knee hurt so bad that I would limp. Yeah, I felt old, and I’m sure I looked it. Within the last two weeks I have noticed that I don’t get stiff, and there is no knee pain, I don’t limp anymore! Yahoo!I have learned so much and have become aware of my body movement. I make sure that I walk with my toes forward and no big toes, knees to little toes, and hands to the side. I notice when I slouch in a chair, and try to keep shoulders back. It is amazing how aware I have become. It’s funny, but I also notice how others walk. Thank you! God bless.
