Essay: I was up late. Everyone else had long gone to bed. But there I hunched, pale and bleary eyed, desperately searching the internet for an answer to my long-time weight/energy issues. Somehow that spring night of 2016 I clicked on T-Tapp. Instantly intrigued by the T-Tap videos on Youtube (love those Happy Hoe Downs), I ordered the Total System. Over the summer I played around with it, but soon slacked off.
By the time January 2017 rolled around, I had become successful with Bright Line Eating, a wonderfully healthy food plan. I knew it was time to dust off those T-Tapp DVDs and get serious about exercise too. Soon I found out about the 60-Day Challenge and jumped on it. I made a commitment to consistency, and I can honestly say I have done my very best. I am thrilled that my results reflect this.
Right away I noticed better posture – just standing taller became more natural – and my swollen ankles and fingers returned to a normal that I hadn’t seen in quite a while. Over the course of the Challenge my heel spurs disappeared, along with my hip pain (thank you Diva Derriere). I found myself sleeping more soundly and breathing easier and deeper. Now I have more energy, and my endurance has steadily increased to the point where I can get through the whole Total Workout, no problem. My thinking is clearer, my abs are tighter, and my smile is brighter. I have hope now that I WILL get back my right-sized body – something I haven’t had in three decades. I WILL be stronger and happier and healthier for life!
My weight loss was pretty steady every week, with a total of 10 pounds gone. Amazingly, I lost 4 inches above my bust, 3 inches from my hips, and 5 inches from my waist. WOO HOO!!! I lost a total of 27.5 inches – going from a dress size 16 to a 14.
I have become very familiar with all of the excellent workouts included in the Total System. My favorite workout routine, so far, is Tempo Arms and I follow that with Awesome Legs, Diva Derriere, Jog Rocks, and Hoe Downs. Next I do skin brushing, enjoy an invigorating shower, rub down with oil, get dressed and I am feeling great and ready for the day. By the way, I often do a set of Hoe Downs after meals. It’s a pick-me-up that keeps me moving all day long.
Of course, I would love to win this Challenge and attend the retreat in August, but I am already a winner. Winning the Challenge would just be icing on the cake (pun intended :). It is my deep desire to encourage others in their health/weight loss/strength journey. Think about it, if a chronically tired, sadly out of shape, often depressed middle-aged woman can improve her life so significantly in only 60 days, anyone can. They just need knowledge and encouragement, as well as determination. Along those lines I want you to know that the last day of the 60 Day Challenge, April 15, 2017 was also the first day of my new 60 Day Challenge #2. Why stop now, right?
God is my help. My wonderful husband, children, and grandchildren are my cheerleaders. Teresa Tapp is my very motivating and effective workout buddy. I can do this! Yes, I can! And so can you.
