Essay:  I’m so blessed to be completing my 4th challenge and this is the second time I’ve been in the “less to lose” category. I’m 52 years old and have Hashimoto’s. I started my T-Tapp journey a year after I had my 8th baby at age 47 ½ at a size 12. Thanks to T-Tapp I have remained a size 4 for the last couple of years AND my thyroid has been stable, so no need to enter the “health challenges” category because I don’t have any!

This year my focus was on self care. My T-Tapp routine had been getting lost in my day to day activities. I was putting my family and business before taking care of myself. So I decided to begin some new habits with this year’s challenge. I focused on 3 things daily–Dry Brushing, taking my supplements (Collagen and Alfalfa) and doing my T-Tapp workout, before getting my day started. And I was able to make it work and even began having some daily moments of “downtime” where I practiced East West breathing and mindfulness. I was also able to revamp my diet and begin using a modified version of Teresa’s God Made/Man Made eating plan. Five days of God Made and three days of Man Made, saving carbs and starches for the man made days. I’m enjoying eating more vegetables and find that I don’t really miss the grains and sugars.

My workouts focused on a rotation of Step Away, Posture Power Walk, Posture Power Sculpt, First Step Fascia Fitness, Turn Back Time, Brain Body Fitness Floor and Healthy Hormones. I was successful with 3-4 workouts per week. I did attend 4 classes with my favorite T-Tapp trainer (my daughter, Margaret Barry) during the challenge which really helped with my form.

My inch loss had stalled in the last 6 months, so I was surprised and delighted to measure and find that 14 inches and 7 pounds came off of this menopausal body. I was pretty satisfied with where I was before the challenge, but I know there’s always room for improvement! I was especially pleased with the results on my tummy area. I think the dry brushing, the alfalfa and the consistent workouts worked together to make a big change.

T-Tapp has been truly amazing in my life. The exercise sequences are so versatile and sustainable, so there’s no excuse not to do it! And the best part is I’m doing something that keeps me healthy and fit, no matter what stage of life. Thank you Teresa for blessing my socks off with T-Tapp!
