Hi, my name is Jeanne Zimet, and I’m a 50 year old mother of 2 young men, Jonathan (27) and Matthew (24). Since my boys are out on their own, my husband decided we needed to add to our household so I’m now the proud mom of 9 dogs!

In 2005 I certified as a T-Tapp Trainer and an IFPA certified Personal Trainer in the Tampa Bay area. After teaching Middle School Math for over 18 years in both NYC and Florida, I joined the T-Tapp Staff full time in 2007. While it seems like a big change for an educator, I still get to teach; only this time I’m teaching people how to get fit and healthy with T-Tapp! You will find me answering your calls and emails along with doing presentations to local school districts looking to incorporate T-Tapp for both Staff Wellness and Student Wellness.

Now that I’m 50 I understand firsthand the ups and downs that go along with being on a hormonal roller coaster. Thank goodness for T-Tapp! It’s the workout that not only builds strength, flexibility and a healthy heart, but helps combat the challenges that this new era brings. I have to say that Ladybug is one of my favorite workouts!

I struggled with my weight my entire life; I am truly the poster child for Slow Losers! It seemed that every time that I would try a new “weight loss solution” I would lose weight and then end up over time regaining all the weight I lost! I have tried every diet from liquid diets to Phen-fen (which caused me to end up with a heart murmur) and none of them worked. So, I decided that trying to live on 800 calories a day was just not a healthy way to live!

From there, I turned to weight training and spent several hours at the gym a week. My rational being, if I couldn’t be thin I’d at least be strong. And strong I was! What I succeeded in doing with weight training was building large, bulky muscles. Just think NFL linebacker. At 5’2, that just wasn’t the look I was going for… and they say that woman don’t build bulk!
I’ve tried every exercise video out there and when I came across T-Tapp I realized that this was something very different. No other program out there emphasizes form the way T-Tapp does.

I found Teresa’s program through Women’s Fitness Magazine in 1999. I added T-Tapp to my training program, while still relying on weight training, stair stepping, treadmill etc. While I was getting results, I still had the “more is better” mindset, which got me through my 30’s. As I entered my 40’s, however, the wear and tear on my body and the hormonal changes I was encountering were beginning to take their toll. I knew there had to be a better way…

I relocated from New York City to the Tampa Bay area of Florida in 2004 and found that Teresa had an early morning workout class fifteen minutes from my house. I quickly joined this group and stopped going to the gym. Once, I was consistently doing T-Tapp and nothing else, I began to see changes in my body that years of traditional exercise couldn’t produce. My legs began to debulk while still maintaining muscle density and strength, something I thought would never happen. T-Tapp also helped rehabilitate a shoulder injury incurred from many years of weight training and imbalanced muscle movement. Now I get to teach that early morning class for Teresa!

Being an educator for over 18 years, I’ve always wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. I’ve always been very interested in health, beauty and wellness; I’ve also been a make-up artist for over 25 years. One of the things that impressed me the most was Teresa’s focus on a “wellness workout”, not just a weight loss, inch loss workout. I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many men & women and see what T-Tapp has done for them. Knowing how important form is and how much it helps to have a trainer’s assistance in achieving your personal max convinced me that I could make a difference in other people’s lives. I could “give back” a little of what Teresa has given me. That is why I became a T-Tapp Trainer; to help others help themselves to become better, stronger and healthier both inside and out the T-Tapp way.
